Horizons Arts-Nature en Sancy
You should apply if you make large outdoor sculpture or installation and can build a temporary work in the French mountains.
About
Horizons Arts-Nature, an open-air exhibition in the Sancy Massif in central France, is choosing 10 site-specific outdoor works for its 21st edition, on view June 19 to September 26, 2027. Each selected artist or collective gets an €8,000 fee covering production, travel, lodging, installation, upkeep and dismantling, paid in three stages, plus €500 or €1,000 extra for artists living far from the site or outside Europe. Works must be new, visual, built at landscape scale and last at least three and a half months; murals, paintings and sound-only works are excluded. One place is held for students or recent graduates. Artists may propose up to three projects; selections are announced in February 2027.
Eligibility
Artists, architects, landscape architects and collectives of any age, status or background; one of the 10 places is reserved for art, architecture or landscape students in their last two years or graduates of 2025 or 2026. Artists picked for a recent edition must wait two years. A driving licence and vehicle are required.
