Idylwood Park Asphalt Art Design Call
City of Redmond Arts & Culture
You should apply if you're an artist or artist team based in the U.S., ideally close to Redmond, Washington.

About
The City of Redmond wants an artist or team to design three crosswalks at West Lake Sammamish Parkway NE and NE 36th Street, beside Idylwood Park. The designs will be made in thermoplastic and installed by Public Works in June and July 2027 to improve visibility and safety for pedestrians and cyclists. A panel of arts professionals, commissioners and community members shortlists up to three artists on qualifications and past work; each finalist is paid $500 to develop a draft concept over four weeks and presents it in person at City Hall in mid-December. The selected artist receives $3,000 in total for the three designs, due March 1, 2027.
Eligibility
Open to individual artists or artist groups residing in the United States. Because the design should reflect the local park and neighborhood, the selection panel will consider how close the artist's studio is to the project site.
Applications happen on City of Redmond Arts & Culture's website. Seeke reviews and indexes the listing but does not accept applications.
