MAKE Animation Thesis Grants 2026
MAKE
You should apply if you're a final-year BFA or MFA animation student, anywhere, finishing a thesis film.
About
MAKE, an animation studio, gives three grants to final-year animation students to finish their thesis films: $2,000 for first place, $1,000 for second and $500 for third. The money covers post-production and festival submissions, such as editing, sound design, color grading and music licensing; for international winners it is paid directly toward production costs. Students or student teams apply through MAKE's online form with one project each. A MAKE panel judges the projects, partly on how clear and well organized the submission is, and announces winners on November 16, 2026. Recipients take part in a short interview at the end of the academic year, and MAKE gives no production feedback.
Eligibility
Students in the final year of a BFA/BA or MFA/MA in animation, digital arts or a related field at an accredited institution, from any country; teams of students may apply, with proof of enrollment.
Applications happen on MAKE's website. Seeke reviews and indexes the listing but does not accept applications.
