About
The 4th Matsu Biennial runs on the Matsu Islands, Lianjiang County, Taiwan, from 20 August to 7 November 2027, and is taking proposals from artists worldwide. Proposals should respond to the islands' environment and Cold War legacy and engage the public, turning the former frontline island into a site for contemporary art. There is no single theme; the call suggests working with the island itself, its Eastern Min culture, religious practices and traditional stone houses.
Eligibility
Open to artists from anywhere in the world proposing site-responsive work for the Matsu Islands.
