Moab 2027 Public Art Funding: Sculpture, Murals and Crosswalks
Moab Arts
You should apply if you're a Utah or Southwest artist who can paint a mural or build outdoor sculpture by spring 2027.
About
Moab Arts, the city's arts department, is calling for public art proposals to be installed in spring 2027. Projects include a sculpture of up to $9,000 tied to Moab, three crosswalk designs on a Four Seasons theme at $1,100 to $1,500 each, and a mural of up to $11,000 on a retaining wall on Kane Creek Boulevard. Sticker designs pay $75 each, and artists may propose other murals, performances, mosaics or socially engaged work anywhere in the city. Total funding is up to $25,000. Applicants email an artist statement, a proposal with a design mock-up, a budget including materials and labor, and three to five images. Work must finish by May 31, 2027.
Eligibility
Open to all artists, with preference given to local and regional artists. Each artist may submit up to two project proposals and two sticker designs. No travel, food or lodging is provided.
Applications happen on Moab Arts's website. Seeke reviews and indexes the listing but does not accept applications.
