About

Blue Line Arts, working with the Roseville Veterans Memorial Hall and Placer County, is seeking a mural artist for the 880-square-foot south-facing wall of the 1929 Veterans Hall, facing Royer Park. The mural should honor the service of local veterans and point to mental health resources for veterans in crisis, with themes of visibility, hope and Roseville itself. Pay is $20 per square foot ($17,600) plus a $250 concept stipend, $17,850 in total; the artist supplies all materials and equipment. Applicants send a one-page statement of interest, a two-page CV and five to ten work samples through an online form. The Hall's leadership picks a finalist by December 31, 2026 to develop a concept, with installation May 3–28, 2027.

Eligibility

Mural artists qualified to work in the United States. Preference goes to military veterans, active-duty service members, their family and friends, artists with experience working with military causes, and artists based in the greater Sacramento region. Emerging artists without much public art experience are encouraged.

Applications happen on Blue Line Arts's website. Seeke reviews and indexes the listing but does not accept applications.
