Media Art Prize 2027 (Medienkunstpreis)
Sammlung Goetz
You should apply if you're finishing, or finished within two years, at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich and make film, video or installation work.
About
The Ingvild and Stephan Goetz Art Foundation, with Sammlung Goetz and the Academy of Fine Arts Munich, awards a 5,000 euro prize to produce a new, not yet realized work of media art: film, video or installation. The prize money covers the full production budget, and no outside funding may be added. The winning work must be finished by the end of July 2027, is shown at the Academy's AkademieGalerie, and enters the foundation's collection. Applicants send a project description of no more than two pages, a cost estimate, a production schedule, and a CV with a portfolio or links to earlier work. A jury from the foundation, the collection, the Academy and outside experts chooses the winner. Applications are submitted digitally by email.
Eligibility
Students of the Academy of Fine Arts Munich who will graduate within the next six months, and Academy graduates up to two years after finishing their studies.
Applications happen on Sammlung Goetz's website. Seeke reviews and indexes the listing but does not accept applications.
