NewCourtland Artist Fellowship
Center for Emerging Visual Artists
You should apply if you’re a Philadelphia-area visual artist who wants to make collaborative work with seniors.

About
The NewCourtland Artist Fellowship is part of the Senior Partnership Initiative run by the Center for Emerging Visual Artists (CFEVA) with NewCourtland, a nonprofit providing community services, affordable housing and nursing homes for low-income seniors in Philadelphia. Fellows spend an 8-week residency at a community center or nursing home, working with senior artists as equal collaborators on an artwork that stays on view where it was made; past projects include murals, textiles and sculpture. Artists are paid $2,500 for 8 sessions, with all supplies covered by the partner. Applicants propose a project that brings collaborative art-making to NewCourtland’s constituents.
Eligibility
Visual artists in the Philadelphia area. Selection prioritizes artists who reflect the communities served: artists of color, elder artists, and artists living in the neighborhoods where the senior centers and nursing homes are located.
Applications happen on Center for Emerging Visual Artists's website. Seeke reviews and indexes the listing but does not accept applications.
