About

Busan is commissioning one site-specific work of land and ecological art for Eulsukdo, an island in the brackish Nakdong River estuary and one of Korea's major migratory bird habitats. Under the theme 'We Pass, the Earth Endures', proposals combine installation, structures or process-based activity on a 49,326 m² site. The selected artist or team receives KRW 380 million covering production, installation and stays, plus a KRW 20 million artist fee; four shortlisted proposals present in a second round and each receives a KRW 1 million honorarium. Applicants email four official forms and a proposal of about 20 A4 pages, in Korean or English. Installation runs March to May 2027.

Eligibility

Individuals or teams professionally active in art, landscape architecture, architecture, design or related fields; interdisciplinary teams of any size are welcome. Overseas applicants need basic communication skills in Korean or English.
