ortung 15: Schwabach Art Prize 2027
Stadt Schwabach Kulturamt
You should apply if you make painting, sculpture, textile, installation, video or digital work and can install it in Schwabach, Germany.
About
The town of Schwabach's art biennale ortung, now in its 15th edition, invites artists to turn spaces in the old town into exhibition and performance sites under the theme "Inspired by Gold," after the town's gold-beating craft. An expert panel picks 20 artists, who attend a colloquium on March 6, 2027, submit a concept by April 5 and install by August 1. Each receives €1,000 toward expenses. An independent jury awards prizes of €6,000 and €3,000 at the August 7 opening, with three audience prizes of €3,000, €2,000 and €1,000. The biennale runs to August 22, and the town may buy works.
Eligibility
Painters, sculptors, graphic artists, textile artists, installation artists (including video and architectural) and computer artists. Selected artists must attend the March 6 colloquium and install and remove their work themselves; works must be for sale.
