About

Power Plant Grants, run by Big Car Collaborative and funded by the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts' Regional Regranting Program, award five $12,000 project grants a year to Indiana visual artists making new, public-facing work that takes a creative risk. For 2026 the program opens to artists anywhere in Indiana, not just Indianapolis. Projects must be presented in Indiana and open to the public; ongoing work can qualify if it proposes a real shift in scale, scope or collaborators. An independent panel interviews finalists on December 9, and grantees are announced December 18. Applications go through Submittable.

Eligibility

Visual artists who live in Indiana (working there is not enough), 21 or older on the deadline, and not full-time students. Teams and unincorporated collectives qualify if the lead artist lives in Indiana; existing 501(c)(3) organizations do not. Big Car staff, board and their families are ineligible.

Applications happen on Power Plant Grants (Big Car Collaborative)'s website. Seeke reviews and indexes the listing but does not accept applications.
