Raleigh Greenway Tunnels Public Art Call
Raleigh Arts
You should apply if you're a North Carolina artist who builds durable ceramic, mosaic or metal work and wants a $30,000 public commission.
About
The City of Raleigh is selecting three artists or artist teams to create durable public art at tunnel entrances or wing walls along the Raleigh Greenway. Three projects at separate locations are each funded at $30,000, covering design, fabrication, taxes, travel and fees. A panel picks up to six semi-finalists, who each receive a $250 honorarium to develop a detailed proposal. Artwork may be ceramic or mosaic, fabricated metalwork or similar long-lasting installations. Paint can be part of the treatment, but proposals that are solely murals will not be considered. Applications go through SlideRoom and are due November 20, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.
Eligibility
Open to individuals and teams who live or work in North Carolina, are at least 18, legally authorized to work in the United States, and have at least three years of professional practice and proven design experience.
Applications happen on Raleigh Arts's website. Seeke reviews and indexes the listing but does not accept applications.
