About
Rbhu Engineering, a structural engineering firm, gives $12,000 of pro-bono and discounted engineering services to artists each year through Rbhu Gives Back, which started in 2019. This cycle funds one full pro-bono project worth up to $6,000 and two projects at 50% off, each worth up to $3,000 in free services. Depending on the artwork, services can include structural analysis, construction drawings and permit documents. Applicants complete a short application and send a visual of the concept, anything from a napkin sketch to a 3D model. Selected projects are chosen and notified before the end of 2026, and confidentiality or an NDA can be requested.
Eligibility
Any art piece of any size that needs structural engineering services is eligible, at any stage of development. Rbhu is licensed in several US states but says location should not stop anyone applying, including artists outside the country.
