Spring Retreat 2027
Artist & Researcher in Residence Guiniguada
You should apply if you're an artist or researcher from anywhere, working in English, who wants a self-funded rural residency in Gran Canaria.

About
Artist & Researcher in Residence Guiniguada is a small self-funded residency run since 2019 by an art historian and a sociologist in their home in the Guiniguada valley of northern Gran Canaria, near Las Palmas and Santa Brígida. The Spring Retreat 2027 runs March 15 to April 12, 2027, preferably for the whole four weeks, with a two-week minimum. Up to five residents have separate studios and private rooms, several terraces and shared kitchen and bathrooms, and the hosts support projects with their knowledge of the island's nature and culture. Applicants email their name, country, website or 5 to 10 images, a short plan for the stay, a short bio or CV and preferred dates. Residents give a presentation of their work.
Eligibility
Visual and performing artists, writers and researchers from any country; the residency language is English. The house is not wheelchair accessible and pets are not allowed. The hosts cannot provide Schengen visa documents.
Applications happen on Artist & Researcher in Residence Guiniguada's website. Seeke reviews and indexes the listing but does not accept applications.
