Talents Contemporains – L'Eau, 16th Edition
Fondation François Schneider
You should apply if you're a professional visual artist anywhere with a work or project on the theme of water.
About
The Fondation François Schneider's Talents Contemporains competition buys and shows work on the theme of water. Four expert committees narrow the entries to about 30 finalists, and an international jury chaired by Jean-Noël Jeanneney names up to seven winners in May or June. Each winner receives €15,000 as a merit prize and acquisition of the work for the foundation's collection (€8,000 for editioned photo or video), and the winners are shown together at the foundation's art centre in Wattwiller, Alsace. Sculptors and installation artists may propose a work still to be made, with a production budget of up to €50,000.
Eligibility
Visual artists of any nationality, 18 or older, with an established professional practice or an art school degree and recent exhibitions, publications or residencies in the last five years. One water-themed work or project per year; performing arts and music are not eligible.
Applications happen on Fondation François Schneider's website. Seeke reviews and indexes the listing but does not accept applications.
