The Hopper Prize Fall 2026 Artist Grants
The Hopper Prize
You should apply if you're a visual artist aged 18 or older, anywhere in the world, working in any medium except sound art.
About
The Hopper Prize is a grant-making institution that awards unrestricted cash grants to visual artists twice a year. In the Fall 2026 cycle, two artists receive $4,500 each and four receive $1,000 each, and 30 artists are archived on its website. Applicants submit up to 10 images or videos with captions, plus an optional artist statement and biography, after paying the application fee. Winners are chosen on the quality of the work and promise of future potential, and are announced on February 26, 2027.
Eligibility
Any artist over 18, anywhere in the world, working in any medium; sound-based art is not currently accepted. Applications are not by nomination.
Applications happen on The Hopper Prize's website. Seeke reviews and indexes the listing but does not accept applications.
