TRACES Art & Science Residency 2027
TRACES Art & Science (FDDM)
You should apply if you're a professional visual artist, 25 or older, anywhere, interested in working with a materials science lab.

About
TRACES, an art and science program of the Foundation for the Sustainable Development of Mountain Regions with EPFL Valais, invites one international visual artist to a three-month residency, January 11 to April 18, 2027, alongside Professor Sascha Feldmann's Laboratory for Energy Materials on the Energypolis campus in Sion. The artist receives a grant of CHF 2,000 a month, with housing and travel covered, plus access to the lab and scientific support, and presents new work publicly at the end. Applicants send a cover letter, a statement of intent proposing a dialogue with the lab's research on light, matter and future materials, and a CV.
Eligibility
Established professional visual artists of any nationality, at least 25 years old with two or more years of professional practice, working in English. All visual disciplines are welcome.
Applications happen on TRACES Art & Science (FDDM)'s website. Seeke reviews and indexes the listing but does not accept applications.
