Two Together: Porthmeor Studios Residencies 2027
Freelands Foundation
You should apply if you're a UK-based visual artist and you or your partner, someone you don't already work with, lives in Devon or Cornwall.
About
Freelands Foundation and the Borlase Smart John Wells Trust offer three pairs of visual artists a shared month-long residency in Studio 5 at the historic Porthmeor Studios in St Ives, Cornwall, in March, May or September 2027. The residency is about experimentation and learning from each other, with no expectation of finished work. Each pair shares the studio and accommodation in St Ives, travel is covered, and each artist receives a £2,000 stipend. Pairs apply jointly by emailing the application form to the foundation; shortlisted pairs interview online in December and are told by January 2027.
Eligibility
Two UK-based artists with studio-based visual arts practices, one of them based in Devon or Cornwall, who do not already work together. Existing duos and collectives, and artists in formal education, are not eligible.
Applications happen on Freelands Foundation's website. Seeke reviews and indexes the listing but does not accept applications.
