2027 BAXTER ST Residency
Baxter St at the Camera Club of New York
You should apply if you're a New York City lens-based artist who hasn't had a solo show in the city yet.
About
BAXTER ST at the Camera Club of New York runs a yearly residency for New York City lens-based artists who have not yet had a solo show in the city. Residents get three months of free workspace and equipment at the organization's space at 154 Ludlow Street, a $1,000 monthly stipend, a $750 materials fee, a $3,000 production fee, and $165 per public program. Each residency ends in a solo exhibition at BAXTER ST, with a public conversation, a video interview and a meeting with an Art Advisory Committee member. Applicants submit 10 images and an optional short video, a letter of intent proposing the exhibition, an artist statement, a CV and two references through Submittable. A jury of art professionals reviews the applications.
