About
The Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition's Creative Projects grant gives up to $1,500 to Oklahoma artists making visual art for public presentation. It is one of four Grants for Artists categories, reviewed twice a year, with the next deadline October 15. Painting, sculpture, curation and art writing are all eligible, as are video, performance and sound art that sit within the visual arts; documentary and narrative film, music, dance and theater are not. Applications go through OVAC's Submittable, with a sample application and scoring matrix on the grants page. Funded projects must take place after the award and within a year, every applicant receives feedback, and results come within four weeks of the deadline.
Eligibility
Artists, curators and art writers 21 or older who have lived in Oklahoma for at least 12 months before the deadline. Current BFA and MFA students are not eligible, and past awardees must wait one year. One application per person per cycle; groups may apply.
