About

The Delaware Division of the Arts awards Artist Opportunity Grants of up to $1,000, covering as much as 80 percent of the cost, for short-term opportunities that would significantly advance an artist's work or career. There are two categories: professional and artistic development, such as study with a master or a residency, and presentation, such as materials to finish work committed to an exhibition, professional services or equipment rental. The October 15 round covers activities between November 15 and February 15. Applicants submit a narrative, budget, résumé, work samples and proof of residency through the smARTDE portal, and staff review applications internally with notification in about four weeks.

Eligibility

Artists 18 or older who have lived in Delaware for at least one year and can document residency, are not enrolled in a degree-granting program and are not current Delaware Individual Artist Fellowship recipients. Past Opportunity grantees wait twelve months before reapplying.

Applications happen on Delaware Division of the Arts's website. Seeke reviews and indexes the listing but does not accept applications.
