Creative Residency Fellowship, March 2027
The Civita Institute
You should apply if you're an artist, designer or writer anywhere with a project about Italian hill towns and want a four-week cohort residency in Italy.

About
The Civita Institute, a Seattle-founded nonprofit, will host a cohort of four Creative Residency Fellows for four weeks, March 2 to 30, 2027, at its 15th-century houses in the hill town of Civita di Bagnoregio, about 90 miles north of Rome. Each Fellow gets a private restored house with kitchen and bathroom, use of the Sala Grande library, courtyard and garden, and a program of coffee hours, work-in-progress talks, field trips and a closing dinner run by two resident docents. Applicants email a signed form, a 100-word abstract, a 500-word project summary and three work samples. Fellows give a finished project deliverable to the Institute's archive. Applications are reviewed monthly until December 1, 2026, or until the cohort is full.
Eligibility
Open to designers, artists, writers and other creatives, from the U.S. or abroad, whose proposed project responds to the Institute's mission around Italian hill towns. Co-Fellows may apply jointly; an accompanying partner must become a member.
Applications happen on The Civita Institute's website. Seeke reviews and indexes the listing but does not accept applications.
