About
Charlotte Street commissions Kansas City-area artists to make images for the Crossroads Artboards, a pair of exterior billboards, each 27 by 12.4 feet, at 125 Southwest Boulevard. New work rotates about every three months from April 2027 to March 2028. Each selected artist receives a $1,000 commission for delivering print-ready images for one side-by-side set; Charlotte Street handles printing and installation. Proposals include at least two images or detailed sketches, a narrative of up to 300 words and a CV and bio. Three Kansas City jurors review in two rounds, and recipients are announced January 19, 2027.
Eligibility
Kansas City-area artists. Proposed images must be original work the artist holds the rights to; artists keep copyright in the work.
