Dora Maar House Fellowships 2027
Dora Maar House (Brown Foundation Fellows Program)
You should apply if you're a mid-career artist or scholar, from anywhere, ready to work independently in a small community.

About
The Dora Maar House in Ménerbes, France, once the home of the artist Dora Maar, offers fellowships of one to two months between March and November 2027 to mid-career artists and scholars. Fellows get a private bedroom and bath, a studio or study, round-trip travel from home and a grant based on the length of stay. They are asked to give one public presentation at the monthly Salons and to donate a drawing or publication made during the stay. Applicants submit a questionnaire, a CV, a project description, a reference letter, work samples and an idea for what they will offer the local community; the director, a jury and the board review them.
Eligibility
Mid-career artists and scholars; the program is not for emerging creatives, and most residents have already shown or published significant work. Open internationally. Some French is valued, and former fellows can reapply five years after their residency.
Applications happen on Dora Maar House (Brown Foundation Fellows Program)'s website. Seeke reviews and indexes the listing but does not accept applications.
