About

OVAC's Community/Artist Partnership grant funds up to $1,500 for Oklahoma artists leading visual art projects with a community. Applicants propose a project and submit work samples through the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition's online application. A panel of community members scores each proposal on its potential impact on the community, the concept, the quality of the work and the applicant's ability to carry it out, with extra credit for projects that serve under-represented regions of Oklahoma, include Native artists or artists of color, or involve collaboration. Decisions come within about four weeks, and funded projects must happen within a year.

Eligibility

Visual artists, curators and art writers 21 or older who have lived in Oklahoma for at least 12 months before the deadline; groups may apply. Current BFA and MFA students are not eligible, past OVAC grantees must wait one year, and each person may be named on only one application per cycle.

Applications happen on Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition's website. Seeke reviews and indexes the listing but does not accept applications.
