Prairie Ronde Artist Residency — Spring 2027 Session
the opportunity
Prairie Ronde is hosted by The Mill at Vicksburg, a redevelopment of the former Lee Paper Company mill and its 80 acres in the village of Vicksburg, Michigan. The spring session runs from March 15 to May 31, 2027, and two to four residents stay five to six weeks. Each receives a $2,000 stipend on completion, a $500 travel grant, private housing, video documentation and a gallery show in downtown Vicksburg. The residency is process-based, but residents donate one piece made during their stay and share their work with the community. Applications go through SlideRoom and are scored on body of work, statement, a plan for engaging The Mill, and readiness for rural living. Selections are announced January 15.

Artists in any medium; the residency is looking for independent, curious artists who will engage with The Mill site. International applicants are not currently being considered.
