Encinitas Skate Park (Poods) Mural RFQ
City of Encinitas Cultural Arts
You should apply if you're a muralist living in Southern California with exterior murals completed in the last five years.
About
The City of Encinitas and the Encinitas Friends of the Arts are commissioning a large-scale mural at the Encinitas Skate Park, known as Poods, with a total project budget of $30,000 including materials. A community panel of arts commissioners, local skaters, artists and youth will shortlist three artists from this request for qualifications; each finalist is paid $500 to develop a site-specific proposal between December 14 and January 8, 2027. The mural should reflect Encinitas skate history and culture and feel energetic, locally rooted and welcoming. Applicants submit a resume and 5–8 recent exterior mural examples.
Eligibility
Mural artists who currently live in Imperial, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego or Ventura County. Applicants list five to eight exterior murals completed in the last five years.
Applications happen on City of Encinitas Cultural Arts's website. Seeke reviews and indexes the listing but does not accept applications.
