About
The Raymond James Gasparilla Festival of the Arts in Tampa selects fifteen emerging artists to show and sell work at its 57th annual festival on March 6 and 7, 2027. Each selected artist receives a 10 by 10 foot display tent and a $450 stipend toward expenses, paid on festival weekend. The festival awards one emerging artist a $1,500 prize chosen by its awards juror. Artists apply through ZAPP with three images of work made recently, each listing its date, medium and dimensions. Applications close at 11:59 p.m. on November 29, 2026, and jury results are emailed in mid-December. Artists cover their own display materials, travel and lodging.
Eligibility
For artists with no established record of museum, major gallery or major juried exhibitions, who earn no more than 25% of their income from selling art and do not work professionally as a visual artist in the medium shown. Applicants must be 18 by March 6, 2027.
