About
The Arts and Music department at Chicago Public Library's Harold Washington Library Center is selecting four local artists for exhibits on the library's 8th floor between April 2027 and March 2028, each on view for about ten weeks. Each exhibitor also leads a creative workshop for library patrons. Artists request the application form by emailing art@chipublib.org. Judges decide by December 15, 2026. Artists new to the open call are added to the Chicago Artist Files archive, and applications may be shared with branches that also exhibit local work.
Eligibility
Open to Chicagoland artists working in any medium. Each selected exhibitor must facilitate a creative workshop for library patrons.
Applications happen on Chicago Public Library's website. Seeke reviews and indexes the listing but does not accept applications.
