About
ILLAPSE is the residency program of Lapse, an artist association for contemporary art and critical thought in Barcelona. The resident gets a studio space inside Lapse, shared with three other artists, for one or two months between January 15 and March 14, 2027, starting on the 15th of a month. Residents are welcome but not required to give an open studio or talk. Lapse is looking for interdisciplinary projects and knowledge exchange across fields. Applicants send a single PDF of up to five pages with a letter of intent, project proposal, short bio, statement and work samples. Housing is not included, though Lapse can recommend a room.
Eligibility
Artists and other professionals in contemporary art. The studio cannot support practices needing much space, tools or technical infrastructure, such as performance, ceramics or large-scale, materially intensive work.
