Joya: AiR Spring Residencies 2027
Joya: arte + ecología
You should apply if you're an artist or writer in any discipline wanting a self-funded rural residency in Spain.
About
Joya: arte + ecología, founded by Simon and Donna Beckmann in 2006 on rural land in southern Spain, runs a spring residency season from January 4 to March 21, 2027 for artists and writers across disciplines. The fee covers a private bedroom with bathroom, a private studio, three meals a day with a communal supper, presentations, readings and studio visits, and pickup from the nearest transport hub at Vélez-Rubio. The program curates small groups, so places are allocated as suitable applications come in before the deadline. A deposit of one week's fee, or 50% for stays over two weeks, confirms a place.
Eligibility
Artists and writers in a wide range of disciplines, including visual art, writing, music, dance, curatorial practice and film; groups are curated for fit.
Applications happen on Joya: arte + ecología's website. Seeke reviews and indexes the listing but does not accept applications.
