Joya: berilo Residency Award 2027
Joya: arte + ecología
You should apply if you're an artist with an arts or humanities degree and an active practice who currently works in the care or health sector.
About
Joya: berilo is an annual residency award from Joya: AiR, the artist-run residency on rural land in southern Spain, for artists who work in the care and health sectors. Named for physiotherapist Beryl Beckmann, it gives one week at Joya with the residency fee waived in full: a private bedroom and studio, meals, and the company of the spring season's other residents. Recipients are profiled on Joya's website and social media. Work can be on any subject, with no expectation that it addresses care or health. Applicants use the regular Joya: AiR application, say they want to be considered for berilo, and give their role and workplace with evidence of employment.
Eligibility
Artists of any discipline who currently work in the care or health sector, with evidence of employment. Applicants must hold a degree in the arts or humanities and show an active practice through exhibitions, publications, performances or equivalent. Applications in English or Spanish.
Applications happen on Joya: arte + ecología's website. Seeke reviews and indexes the listing but does not accept applications.
