Keyholder Residency 2027–2028
Lower East Side Printshop
You should apply if you're an emerging artist in any discipline living in the New York metro area who wants to work in printmaking, and you aren't a student.

About
The Lower East Side Printshop's Keyholder Residency gives emerging artists free, round-the-clock access to its shared printmaking studio, including the etching area and darkroom, from September 1, 2027 to May 31, 2028. Keyholders receive a $1,000 stipend, storage, basic supplies, a required five-session intro to printmaking, one free class, staff consultation hours, and a group Keyholder exhibition after the residency. Printmaking skills aren't required, though some familiarity helps. Applicants submit up to 10 images of work from the past two years with an image list, a resume, two references and the application form; an invited panel of artists, critics and curators selects the group.
Eligibility
Emerging artists from any discipline who are current U.S. residents and will live in the New York metro area during the residency. Students enrolled in a degree program, past Keyholders and artist duos or teams are not eligible. Artists without studio space are encouraged to apply.
Applications happen on Lower East Side Printshop's website. Seeke reviews and indexes the listing but does not accept applications.
