About
Salt Road Studio's Seto Art Residency is a three-week international studio residency in June 2027 in Ako, on the Seto Inland Sea coast of Japan, for a small group of artists living and working side by side. Selected artists get round-trip travel to Japan, communal lodging for the full three weeks, a dedicated studio and a $1,000 living-cost grant (about ¥150,000) toward food, local transport and personal expenses. Artists attend as short-term visitors; the residency does not sponsor work or long-term visas, so each artist confirms their own entry requirements.
