Residency · El Paredón, Guatemala
Open Call Residency, October 17–29, 2027
Studio Luce
You should apply if you're an artist or writer in any discipline, from anywhere, wanting a self-directed 12-night residency on Guatemala's Pacific coast.

About
Studio Luce is a self-funded, self-directed artist residency and writing retreat at Villa Rosa in El Paredón, a fishing village on Guatemala's Pacific coast. The October 17 to 29, 2027 high-season session is a 12-night stay. Residents get desk space in the house's writing studio, a pre-trip introductory call with the other residents, help with travel logistics, weekday coffee and tea, and a blog interview and social media features. No finished work is required. Meals, travel, visas and insurance are the resident's own, and there is no staff member on site. Accepted residents pay a 25% non-refundable deposit, with the balance due two months before arrival.
Eligibility
Open to artists, writers, musicians, photographers and other creatives in any discipline and from any country; the retreat runs mainly in English. Guatemalan applicants get priority consideration, and Guatemalan, Central American, Mexican and diaspora artists pay a lower rate.
Applications happen on Studio Luce's website. Seeke reviews and indexes the listing but does not accept applications.
