Spring Crest Park Public Art Call
City of Waukee Public Art
You should apply if you're a public artist or team with at least two completed outdoor commissions of $25,000 or more.

About
The City of Waukee, Iowa, is commissioning playful public art for Spring Crest Park, a neighborhood park with a hillside playscape and trails. The work sits on an identified pedestal within a 4,000 PSI weight limit, must be safe for children and adults to touch and play with, and should be colorful and low-maintenance. The preliminary budget is $50,000, covering design, materials, fabrication, travel, shipping and installation. The Waukee Public Art Advisory Commission picks three finalists, who each receive a $500 stipend to refine their proposals before a final interview.
Eligibility
Artists or teams must have completed two commissioned outdoor public artworks of at least $25,000 each and be able to join a virtual interview. Preference goes to artists living in Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Wisconsin or South Dakota, with special consideration for an Iowa connection.
