Summer 2027 Byrdcliffe Communal Residency
Woodstock Byrdcliffe Guild
You should apply if you're a visual, ceramic, literary or performing artist at any career stage who can spend a month in Woodstock, NY.

About
The Woodstock Byrdcliffe Guild hosts more than 60 visual, ceramic, literary and performing artists each summer at the Byrdcliffe Arts Colony in four month-long sessions between May 21 and September 28, 2027. Each session takes about 10 visual artists and 2 ceramic artists, who get private bedrooms in the Villetta Inn and one of eight studios behind it (ceramicists live in Barzin cottage and work in the Byrdcliffe Barn). Programming includes open studios, studio visits, artist talks and field trips. Applicants upload a CV, work samples, a bio, artist statement, project proposal and two references; priority review is November 16. Merit and need-based fellowships and stipends are available through a supplemental application.
Eligibility
Visual, literary and performing artists from all backgrounds and at all career stages. Residents bring their own materials and linens; a car is recommended but not required.
Applications happen on Woodstock Byrdcliffe Guild's website. Seeke reviews and indexes the listing but does not accept applications.
