Ucross Residency, Fall 2027 Session
Ucross Foundation
You should apply if you're an emerging or established artist in any discipline with a professional practice.

About
The Ucross Foundation runs residencies of two, four or six weeks on a 20,000-acre working cattle ranch in northeast Wyoming, hosting about 115 artists a year. The Fall 2027 session runs August through early December. Residents get private living quarters, an individual studio and meals, with lunch and dinner cooked on weekdays by a professional chef, and each receives a $1,500 stipend at orientation. Visual artists apply through Submittable with 10 images, a data sheet and a project proposal for the time in residence; the work sample and proposal weigh most. Ucross contacts applicants within four to five months of the deadline.
Eligibility
Visual artists, writers, composers, choreographers, interdisciplinary and performance artists, and collaborative teams who show professional standing in their field; emerging and established artists are both encouraged.
Applications happen on Ucross Foundation's website. Seeke reviews and indexes the listing but does not accept applications.
